Re: Selling LCD 5'inch FMC VGA Monitor
Ordered mine yesterday, same price.
I'm planning on ordering another nine at about $50 each if the sample I ordered fits the bill if there is interest. I'll sell them at cost plus shipping to any that are interested.
Philb737, if you're saying their good to go, I won't bother waiting for the one to arrive.

Re: Selling LCD 5'inch FMC VGA Monitor
It seems around 130 to 140V at 3 to 4 feet away. In reality, the usable viewing angle of this display vertically is about positive 45 degrees to negative 10 degrees at best and that’s being generous.

Re: Selling LCD 5'inch FMC VGA Monitor
No secret code Marcin...
I'm in contact with "Lisa". She is the sales manager at Good Display, in China. The order is directly through the company.
I was unwilling to commit to 10 right off the bat, so I asked her if I could get a sample. I ordered that at the price you see on Ali Baba.
The other nine are at bulk pricing. I can get as many as I want beyond that, I guess. She quoted me $51.48, and confirmed in later mail. Shipping will be $120 for the nine units for a total cost of about $580. That puts each unit at ABOUT $64 AFTER SHIPPING. That is about a $20 price savings delivered to me. The issue is that then you have to look at further delivery to anyone that would want one. via USPS, it wil probably be about $10 so... delivered price would be about $75.
Is that cost savings worth it (about $6)? Since guys are already receiving their orders, it is not a scam, which would be the first thing to keep any of us from ordering. $81 is a great price after shipping.... to the US.Last edited by fsaviator; 05-29-2010 at 09:18 AM. Reason: Additional info

Re: Selling LCD 5'inch FMC VGA Monitor
Matt, there are two links for purchase. One for a 5 inch, and one for a 5.6 inch. One had the price you paid, one the price we paid ($81). They are the same model though.
It will save you a bit more on additional ones:

Re: Selling LCD 5'inch FMC VGA Monitor
I just received my screen... It looks fine....
One thing... it did not come with a power adapter, and I can't see anything that points to what type/rating to get.
Did anyone else's come with a power adapter?

Re: Selling LCD 5'inch FMC VGA Monitor
No power adapter with my shipment,
I tried two different power supplies, first one was a 9.0v 2.0 amp and the 2nd one was a 12v 5.0 amp power supply without any problems!IF it's not Boeing I ain't going!!!!!!

Re: Selling LCD 5'inch FMC VGA Monitor
I did the same... got it working. Matter of fact, I got it working with a 5V 2100mA also. That opens up new possibilities with USB.
Unfortunately, I also just broke my new screen! It's a very tenuous relationship between the VGA cable, the power cable, the PC board, and the screen.... at one point the weight of the vga cable I was using to connect it to my laptop pulled the screen off the table.... I caught it, but the orange ribbon cable ripped.
SO... be extra careful until it's mounted. I emailed "Lisa" to see if I could get a replacement cable. It a weird one, FFC/FPC type, but... one end plugs in with a LIF socket while the other uses some type of adhesive.

Re: Selling LCD 5'inch FMC VGA Monitor
Is anyone interested in my ordering any of these screens for them at the price I discussed earlier in the thread? I need two more, so I'm ordering either way. In the end the savings is only about $5-10 after you pay for shipping to me, then on to you.
Regardless, if you want me to order any, let me know in the next day or two. If you're in Greece, I can probably hand carry a couple at the end of the month when I come over. That would put your cost at about $67.
