    Is it really this simple?

    Hi everyone,

    I'm looking to start building my Sim Parts myself. I am looking to get a few simple push buttons/switches/rotaries/etc working with Leo Bodnar's Card.

    The card I'm talking about is the BU0386X Card.

    Am I right in thinking that literally, it is a simple case of soldering the two terminal "legs" of the switch to any "button" slot on the card (one into the ground and one into the actual button slot itself), and then that's it, I have a Joystick button recognised by Windows which can be configured through FSUIPC?

    Nigel Boyle, who has posted some excellent YouTube tutorials has also helped me out alot here. Just thought I'd make this thread to confirm what I am thinking is correct!

    Just make sure that you pay for a reg'd version of fsuipc, you will need a reg'd version to make your card do the 'simple' things that you want it to do within fs....(like the really clever things)...!

    I am agree with your idea it's appreciable .BU0386X Card allowed to connect up to 32 keys, 8 analogs and up to 16 rotary encoders of any type, bypassing with Opencockpits mastercard limitations so, you can utilise your view.

    The BU0386X is an awesome card... I love mine and suggest it to new builders often, but I wouldn't use the word 'limitations' when referring to the mastercard. All things considered it is one of the most capable and flexible cards around, and at a very decent price. Not nit-picking, just giving my 2cw.

    I agree with Budddy, the BU0386X is great, no need for SIOC, no soldering instant action.

    but the OC Mastercard is also great, it has outputs and since I use the USB Expansion card
    it has never gave me any problems.

    Youre question was about connecting a few buttons and switches, for that I think the BU0386X
    is the best choice. only because you didn't mention about outputs !

    Both (BU0386X and the OC cards) work like advertised and I feel lucky using them.

    Respect for the builders who started simpitting 10-20 years ago,
