My phantasy Airbus
Hi,
last year you guys infected me with the simpit virus.
the least I can do is showing what that did to me
After 6 months of wood, glueing, sanding etc I went in this weekend with the displays,
the half way ready throttle and my first panel.

Re: My phantasy Airbus
I love the 32" LCD Monitors, I just sold 2 to member 'flymo' in Kent a few months a go, I used 2 monitors next to each other and got a nearly a 60" wide visual, hence 2 large for my cessna.
How did you build the windows frames?GA or the Highway!

Re: My phantasy Airbus
When you have a look at this photo:
- I made a closed outer shell from 18mm construction wood (floorplates)
- and used a lot screws and PUR glue
- then I cutted out the window
- screwed 40x40 mm. wood inside
- the straight mdf 4 mm. pieces
- the roundings are made of 2 layers of 2mm "bend" mdf
- now as last after sanding it is possible to draw the inner MDF 8mm. plate with a pencil.

Looks great! Thanks for the photos, I get more ideas of things to try from pics here than anywhere! Anymore pics of that throttle yet?
