    Cessna simulator at Norwegian defense aircraft collection, Gardermoen

    Hi all,
    We are building a simulator into a Cessna 206 cabin at Forsvarets Flysamling Gardermoen, (Norwegian Defense Aircraft Collection).
    The simulator will be placed in our main exhibition area and will be available for our visitors.

    The build is based upon FSX and Simkits instrumentation. Pictures are available here: Our Facebook page. The text is in Norwegian, but pictures can be seen in the album LN-Elmer.

    Stage 1 of the project is planned finished by end of 2012, stages 2 and 3 are mainly adding more instrumentation as soon as our economy allows.

    A little update from our Cessna project. When we started out the cabin was stripped of all interior, so we had to make our own. The interior work is almost finished, we made a glare shield yesterday. It certainly helps to have an airplane restoration workshop as our base (:

    The plan for tomorrow is to install the instrument panel and make some trimmings around the sides. The panel is C-172 size and a little too small for the 206 cabin.

    A short update from our little Cessna project. The panel is mostly finished for phase 1. The engine controllers and switches are connected to interface boards.
    We have managed to get hold of original Cessna seats that fits on the rails at the cabin floor.
    We are still on track for rollout in January..
