interfacing a solenoid
I am in the process of constructing my engine start switches that function exactly like the real ones. I think I've hit on a very simple way to incorporate the press-knob-before-turning but that's by the way.
I would like some advice though how to interface the solenoids to prosim.
I guess I'll have to use a relais of sorts. I know there's a gate in prosim to activate the solenoid but what output card would be a good choice ?
Preferably without having to script anything so no opencockpits.
I have no clear idea about the prosim - output card - relais - solenoid path.
Could anyone please point me in the right direction?

Re: interfacing a solenoid
Ok, let me rephrase the question : is there a card that can send 12 V for a solenoid without having to use a relais ? Preferably one that's recognized by Prosim. If I have to use a relais, what kind ?

Re: interfacing a solenoid
Hello,
You can connect a relais to PoKeys via a simple circuit as shown below. PoKeys cards are recognized by ProSim.
If you use a BC547 transistor, make sure the relais does not take more then 100 mA.

Hope this helps,

Thanks Wendy, that points me in the right direction
