CPFlight MCP737EL speed button issue ?
Hi,
Sometimes my speed button on my CPFlight MCP737EL does not operate at all, making me controling the speed of the aircraft from the TQ !!!! All other modules operate normaly including VNAV, LNAV. Something strange is that the level change is also operative but does not hold the speed choosen in the IAS/MACH screen
I suspect that this happens after de-activating VNAV during a flight, but I am not sure about that.
This happens more or less in 3 to 10 of my flights...
Is this a bug of CP flight hardware ?
Has anyone had the same ?
Thanks
Nick

Re: CPFlight MCP737EL speed button issue ?
Hi NIck
in order to see exactly if SPEED mode working, you need to watch the FMA on the PFD. All autopilot modes must be controlled on the FMA after you had select a mode on the MCP. For example: To be sure what's the active and armed mode AFDS select LVL CHG during a Climb. you must see on FMA the following N1 | HDG SEL or LNAV | MCP SPD . If you have armed Speed on MCP you have on FMA: | MCP SPD | HDG SEL or LNAV | ALT HLD or V/S if you clim or descend.
Cheers
Arnaldo
