7200 rpm vs 10,000 rpm
Hi,
I am about to purchase a computer for fsx only, but need some ideas on the following.
I am plannning to get an I7 975 extreme system.
1. Is there much difference in FPS between a 7200 rpm HDD and a 10000 rpm HDD? Is 16MB better or 32 MB?
2. Is the ATI 5850 card good for hooking up 3 monitors for outside view (so that I won't need a Matrox TH2GO), and also displaying the Cockpit panel? They have eyefinity which boast 6 displays, as far as I can tell?
3. Is a PC3 10600 RAM good enough, or should I go for a PC3 1600 RAM?
Sorry guys, got a lot of questions squeezed in 1 post, lol, but I just need some feedback before finally purchasing the computer.

Have you considered an SSD instead of a HDD?

Re: 7200 rpm vs 10,000 rpm
Has anyone got data about the reliability and lifecycle for SSD's yet for they are very expensive and most of 'm do not have very large capacity (< 80 Gb for the affordable ones)
Two Velociraptors (10,000rpm) in Raid0 would come near the speed on a SSD
