booting the simpit

My whish: when turning on my simpit it(she) should turn on the window displays,
but let the other displays dark. And I hate the windows logo and boot sound.

So starting up has to have a predefined "order"

Things what came into my mind:
- Startup the computers first.
- lights in the simpitroom can turn on at this moment too.
- after the windows welcome sound, the amplifier is allowed to turn on
- then the window displays can get power.
- after windows has autostart the simsoftware, SIOC has to select "HDMI-in" at the displays.
- Sioc should turn off the batteries in the plane so VASfmc gets dark
- then the other displays can go on

What I did:
Turned off UAC in windows7 to boot VASfmc an Xplage from the startup folder
I "refurbised" a power-supply of a old IBM mainframe computer,
this give me enough stable 5V and 12V for the sim, and I placed a few relais
and timers in it to "lazy-boot" the different outlets.

specs: 3x 220v in
outlets: 8x 220v 16A , 2 are delayed.
on/off switch: 12v low current (like every pc-power supply has)
5V 33A (yes, I will use fuses )
12V 14A





the 220v part works, this weekend I want SIOC to select the right input on the displays.

Working like this feels also a bit safer, now when I power-off the whole room is powerless.

You know, you can turn off the startup sound in windows. One less thing to worry about during startup.

Nice description with graphics , and all picture saws all the part clearly so easily to recognise.You describe here point wise ,so easy to utilise and preform it own self , or say that you including all the small and helpful steps , so no chance for mistake .
