I'm trying, with little success to get an older type Matrox DH2G Analoge Edition (pre-USB - it has a seperate power supply) working with ATI cards. It won't work with the Radeon R3870X2 nor the HD4890.

It does work with an Nvidia 8600GT.

I know that there was once a problem with Matrox and ATI products working together, does this still exist?

The Matrox website lists both the ATI cards mentioned above as being compatible with the DH2G Analogue Edition, but this is the current model, which I think is USB. The model I have has no USB connection at all.
