C172 Cockpit design specifications
Hello all, I am Cornelius from Malaysia.
I am totally new to FltSim. I would like
to build a C172 cockpit frame(or shell)
as you might call it.I have a friend who
is a carpentar and I would like to build
a wooden frame. I would appreciate
if someone could post the specifications
with diagrams. I did see Alex's specification
but I am a bit hazy. Replies much much
appreciated.I thank Mycockpit for this beautiful
website for educating me.Thank you all.

Re: C172 Cockpit design specifications
I would like to ask if anyone knows good reference materials or links for light aircraft cockpit lay-outing. That should include where to properly place instruments in accordance to air laws and pilot advantages. I am planning to use the materials for my upcoming aircraft design subjects in college.
Thank you very much.

Re: C172 Cockpit design specifications
MIL-STD-1333 "Aircrew Station Geometry for Military Aircraft" might be of some use to you. Although it's been cancelled, it provides basic information of human factors in aircraft. (Google has a download link for it.)
The FAA website www.faa.gov has quite an assortment of publications. You'll have to dig a bit, but might turn up something usefull.
