Overhead and Pedestal Decisions

I think I am probably going to go with Flyengravity for the MIP, MCP, EFIS, and FMC. I want to make some decisions on the overhead and panel. Between Cockpit Sonic and FDS which do you prefer for the overhead and pedestal? That would just leave the shell which I could figure out later. Any suggestions for yoke, pedals, and throttle if I were to purchase one for the 737NG instead of building them?

Cockpitsonic and FDS are two pretty good companies. You would have to get expert opinion from someone who has purchased from both of them. As for the yoke. ACE supply a yoke system plug and play, there is a review in our forum from Trevor Hale which seems to give the general opinion it was very good, so i wouldn't hesitate in their legitimacy. Although if you were going down the make your own route. Roberto at Throttletek sells these yokes on their own.

There are a few vendors of throttle it depends if your wanting it motorised, etc etc. The cost escalates accordingly to your particular specification.

And personally i think goflight sell some nice realish plug and play pedals.

GoFlight discontinued their pedals range if i remember rightly - well the grey large metal ones anyway. I remember Matt's post of their discount promotion as they were discontinued.

I would like to report on my recent purchase of B737 FWD Overhead panel from SimWorld of Poland. http://www.simworld.pl

The building quality and level of details of this product is truly amazing, considering the price being asked. The 1mm aluminum backplates have cutouts for all areas where your backlighting will go, right down to the little "+" that indicates the electrical connector of every single lightplate.

You need to build your own framework to support the panels. All screws and bolts to fix the lightplates are painted dark or light grey, and their plastic DZUS replicas looks great. The gauge frames are detailed with replica screwheads moulded into the plastic.

The supplied sheet of printed guage faceplates and decals leaves something to be desired in terms of black not really blocking backlighting properly, and I am sure the guys at SimWorld are looking into this.

All in all I welcome a new supplier focusing on accuracy and details, while maintaing a price level I can live with.
