A Boeing 737NG cockpit build

Hello everybody.

Me and a byddy of mine has been talking for about five years about building our own cockpit, and when we found an opportunity to buy a near complete set of hardware for a sim build, we took the deal.

Our hardware consists of:

-Overhead from Cockpit Sonic
-Throttle quadrant from Cockpit Sonic
-Pedestal with radios from FDS
-Two FMC from FDS
-MIP from FDS
-MIP and EFIS from CP Flight
-Standby instruments from Simkits
-Four computers
-Yoke and pedals from PFC "for sale"

We are still missing some smaller instruments and an aft overhead. It's on our to-buy list.

We have started building a full scale cockpit to mount all the hardware in. We have been at it for around two weeks now, and it's really starting to take shape now. I'll update you guys as we go.

Thanks for the kind replies.. It's kind of a great motivation factor as you work your way forwards to the end product.

I will surely keep you guys posted on the updates. As of right now, I need to construct the eye-lid window frames so I can attach the main beams correctly on the roofing section. When thats done, I'm gona start constructing the 8" base that the sim is going to sit on.

It's going to be somewhat interresting to see if the ProSim737 software lives up to the level it's been cranked up to be. We were originally going for Project Magenta, but after talking to somebody that has tried several different systems, we were convinced that the ProSim software is worth spending a few dollars on.

Allright everybody.. Here's a little update on the project. I diden't do anything yesterday with the cockpit, but I had a good 10 hrs of work done today
So this time I constructed the eyebrow windows after original plans, and mounted them in the roof section. Lots of work, but worth it. Looks good.!
Also I was able to construct the sim base out of 2x8's. It too came out really good. The shell is really starting to strenghten up now. Added some more stringers too..

Ohh.. Another thing. I just started making video updates on our YouTube channel. I'll try to update you all with videos everytime if I can or if there is something new to show.!

Fantastic work so far, I will certainly be keeping an eye on this. Is there any chance of seeing those drawings again for the shell with the dimensions that you used for them? Keep up the good work!
