build own usb input card
Hey all,
since I managed to build my own 7 segment drivers with a chip from austriamicrosystems I am curious if it is possible to build your own USB input card like the bu0836x - which chip would I use and do you know any good resources for getting into this project?

no... sry... I want to build the whole card by myself just buying the chip some resistors perhaps some capacitors and an usb plug.... and soldering it all together - i got the time and maybe that is pricewise better.... if not... i'll use keyboards and the bu0836x

I noticed it was the wrong one I linked too. There is a USB port tutorial there however.

An excellent resource is http://www.waitingforfriday.com/ The site author has developed open source USB projects for both Microchip and Atmel USB-enabled micro controllers.
A frequently referred to information resource is the book USB Complete by Jan Axelson. It's in its 4th edition. You can find out about it on Axelson's website: http://www.lvr.com/
