Is 5 month without not killing you?
Does crying myself to sleep count  Nahhhh, better times will come. I look forward to a new home, with much more space for my project. :)
Space... The final fronteer!!! I know all too well the problem with space.. And no matter how much you have, you always need (want) more!! :)
Wollo,
Thanks for the link. I have been wondering how I’m going to take this next project done. Everything that I have built so far is self taught. Yes, final approach is nice; however I would like to one day get it to have a moving platform!!!!! Have you thought about a moving platform at all? I thought it a little daunting when I received the 7 segments in the mail with nothing else!!!! Thanks for the link!!! Seriously!!!
Matt,
You really had to put your sim into storage???? Oh, how much of a bummer that is. DO I remember right, is it not your sim that I saw on a video from the project magenta site? Was it not the videos where you had a take off and landing video? If so, it was the inspiration to my building my flight sim. I hope that you get it out of storage soon and start to soar the sim skies again.
Best regards,
James
Yes, the video over at PM... I think it's still there.... ? I think Doug Norman was flying... I had a good time with my friends from Peoria that day. Bob Reed has spent some time flying my pit too. I look forward to getting it back outa of storage and in flying condition :)
James, I have thought about motion. I'll skin it all in aluminium, fit out the insides (not necessarily in that order)and generally finish everything else then I'll think about motion. Sort of another whole project. I'm not even sure if my structure would be up to the strain.
Bill, I just looked at your recent upload in the gallery, is your main view a CRT or rearprojection.... maybe something else? What size is it, and what resolution are you getting.
Matt, It's a Samsung 32" lcd. It's native resolution is 1360x768 (not brilliant). It's got a wonderfully bright picture and a contrast ratio of 5000-1. That was what swung it for me.
edit: Just occurred to me, I think you've seeing my subwoofer sticking out making my had look a bit crt like.
You're right ... the subwoofer, hidden :) 5000:1 contrast ratio for a LCD is fantastic. Looks good....
Your projects make me speechless...and that is a feat!
Long way to go before I get to that level
