it works either as "real" GPS with either the tny antenna or an external antenna (both are included in the package). It is also possible to connect that GPS to the flightsim (FSUIPC for FSX/P3D - I dont know how it connects to X-Plane, but I am pretty shure there could be a way). The cable (Serial port) for connecting the device to the pc is also included.
