Phidgets Rotary Encoder speed?

Hi all

Although I am still having trouble with the Phidgets Rotary Encoder reading Vertical Speed, Alan D. is helping me.

However, with it assigned to other values, can anyone comment on how fast the read out values on the autopilot change in accordance with the speed of it being turned in your hand?

Ex: the Go Flight rotary turns really fast, as fast as you can physically change it but the Phidgets assignment is slow and touchy. Take forever to get the IAS SPD to change if you turn it more than 2-3 digit's worth at a time.
