I understood that Chris Benton and his Pacific Aerospace had been bought out
by SATCO about 12mths back and re-financed. I know PFC were after the 737
shell moulds. I was talking to the CEO of Satco at the time and they were
desperate to ensure supplies of 737 hardware. It always amazed me that they
were prepared to pay to get junk parts from the US, ship them to Darwin
Australia, give them a coat of yellow chromate and then ship them back. They
could have achieved that within the USA for a fraction of the cost. Chris
Benton messed a lot of people around at that time including us.
