Covering the throttle quad
Can anyone suggest a suitable material to cover a throttle quadrant, I have cut out the "dividing walls" the screwed rod is in temporary until my throttle, speedbrake and flaps levers are ready. I haven't done any electrics or interfacing yet but i'm thinking ahead as its so hard to get any raw materials here. I dont really want to use hard board even though i know its very bendable, I just haven't had good experiences with it as it always splits. I was thinking about thin plastic ( credit card like) i think this would bend well around the radius of a throttle body, any one got any ideas?

Re: Covering the throttle quad
Hi Steve,
I bought a plastic storage box from Walmart. They come with the lid for less than $5.00. I used the plastic from the lid for the TQ and the box to store the TQ parts and hardware during the build. The lid is what you are looking for, the plastic is flexible and easy to cut. This is an idea of what you can use, it worked for me . You can check my homemade TQ pics for reference:

I use 2mm aluminium sheeting, you can cut all the slots out with a jigsaw and file it clean before you bend it...
