This is what really gets on my last nerve, when I spend a huge chunk of cash and they havent even got the decency reply to a simple email.
I know most of these companies are small, sometimes one man bands BUT spend an hour each evening to reply to emails. It is not rocket science and a customer is happy to wait 6 weeks if they are kept informed rather than wait 3 weeks with no response.
It also stops people repeatedly email the same thing if you answer the first time.
Allan
I'm not saying this is good business practice and to be sure keeping the customer is always best. However if you are about to toss a large sum of money at a business for something I would contact them first before sending any money. This does a few things. First you can find out how busy they are. Like taking your car to the shop and expecting the mechanic to fix it while you wait. Sometimes that can happen but often times if he is good he is busy and may not get to you the same day. Also you can find out before hand if the part you need is available?
I can sympathies with your situation but a little communication up front would save you your money and keep you from going crazy at the same time..
I have been in communication with Ali even last hearing on the date of when he expected to ship my product which I had already paid for long ago.
However right after that I haven't heard anything from him even after a few emails now that I have sent with no reply.
I'm ok with delays but I would really like to know whats going on as this is a large chunk of my money now gone. I don't
want to make bad press about ACE but I would like to hear a response from them in a reasonable amount of time.
just to update. Recieved the product Ali just had a child. congrats to the new dad!
Product is looking very good but just waiting to see what Ali thinks of the pictures as im not sure if the item was slightly damaged in transit.
Will post an update with pictures in a new forum post
So having a child makes you incapable of using email?
I have had a few (well the wife has) and from what I remember I could function normally, apart from the messy part when Mrs Notgotaclue forgot how to breath and people had to tell her.She also had a slight temper and said the pain was unbearable - obviously she has not stubbed her toe or hit her thumb with a hammer.
Allan.
Sorry to ignite an old thread.
What the consensus on email contact now? I've paid my deposit 2 months ago but no emails since. Sent 3 but to no avail. I know he must be busy but I'm starting to worry!
I think it's just the way he is. A friend has ordered (and received) two of his yokes recently and had the same experience on both accounts. But the yokes turned up eventually.
Well, I can tell you, I had the same experience with Ali. First of all he didn`t answer emails and he didn`t meet any deadlines. Sometimes it helped to send a second email saying " please confirm that you received ma former mail".
Finally the yokes I got are really great!
About 2 weeks ago the aileron Poti failed and I asked Ali how to change it. A few mails later he promised me to send instructions, which I now urge every two days or so.
So all together: Ali doesn`t seem to be very reliable relating to answer emails.
If anybody of you knows how to change the aileron Poti, please tell me.
Wolfgang
Right, 2 deadlines have passed and no yoke. 5 emails later and no reply. Should I be worried??
Just for information:
I had some small problems with my 737 Yoke and mailed Ali for support. He was replying immediately even in the weekend.
So for me its thumbs up to Ali: Thanks.

Hi everyone i have just tried to access the ACE website and its showing "Account suspended" and also any emails sent to sales@ace.com bounce back as undeliverable, has anyone else had this happen, thanks Colin
Well, with all the bad press I'm hearing I don't think I'll be getting an ACE yoke. Time to go shopping somewhere else.
Try northernflightsim.com you'll be surprised what's in the works! Make sure to talk them personally... Rusty always answer the phone and emails, great customer support!!! Two thumbs up;)
Unfortunately I don't have a positive experience either; I paid for the yoke in April 2012 with the promise that shipment would take place beginning of July the latest. The yoke didn't arrive and after numerous emails I was promised that that the yoke would be shipped next month, and next month, and next month etc.
To cut a long story short, the yoke never arrived, Ali never replied any of my emails or letters I posted to Canada, and I am now trying to recoup my payment, but that is a slow process as I don't live in Canada where the company is located.
It probably won't put your mind at rest too much, but although Ali's public relations are abysmal, I don't think anyone has not received their yokes.
Well, in that case I just hang on (not literally of course) a bit longer before I start recouping my payment, as I do really like the yoke (I saw the yoke at a friends house and the quality/feel is very good) and it is one of those 'must have' items.
I have paid my yoke for months, and Ali contacted me in November.....since then I sent him 5 emails & i haven't heard from him since, although he promised my yoke will ship end of November. I worked a lot to gather that amount of $$$, so I paid by Paypal. Is there anyway this might turn out to be a scam? Can I get my money back? If so how?
I paid my deposit 1 year ago and haven't seen a yoke, but promises. I don't know who to turn or how to obtain my yoke or discount.
I would appreciate some informational help...thanks
I've only heard bad things about ACE, someone should black list his company if he fails to respond. Unacceptable for someone who has already taken a chunk of your money.
Hi Istan1804,
Its really bad that he doesnt reply your email especialy when you have allready payed the yoke. I have contacted Ali about 4 weeks ago about the complaints on this forum. He answered me immediately and would take a look at it.
Im afraid he didnt learn anything about it and i also think that he has much feeling with its company anymore. Too bad bacause i love his yokes.
About the refund of the money, luckily you payed by Paypal so you can start a claim via Paypal. They shall ask for every email contact and other documents between you and Ali. Then they try to make contact with Ali. If he doesnt answer anything to you or to Paypal you probably can receive your money back, or he has to deliver you the yoke.
It happened to me also with another company and i had my money back within 3 weeks. So dont give up and give it a try via Paypal.
Good luck with it.

Istan,
I have contacted Ali again for you and immediately he asnwered and asked me your email. He will mail you!

Just a little information,
I emailed the company : Do you have the 737 Yoke in stock? If not, what is the lead time?
It took a few days, but I did get a reply:
Hi Ed,
Thank you for your interest in our product. We appreciate it.
Next 737 Yoke production will be available in February.
Please do note we require a deposit to place an order.
Amount of $400 CAD.
When you are ready to proceed please email us and we will send you an invoice through PayPal for payment.
Sincerely,
Ali-737 Yoke Team
Hopefully this will calm some nerves and give hope, as it would seem they are still in business and are still planning on producing more yokes.
All the best
Ed
Just an update from my email 30th November 2012.
I received a notification beginning December 2012 from Canada Parcel Post that a package was shipped to my (paypal) address, and yesterday I received the yoke - 9 months after ordering and payment. So having patience is a pre-requisite if you place an order at ACE. I also hardly ever received a response on any emails I sent.
Having said that, there are persons who have received the yoke soon after ordering and is it just me who is unlucky as:
1) I placed an order last year at Cockpitsonic UK and received only 20% of what I ordered and most of it was wrong or not usable. Then they went bust and I never got my money back.
2) I also ordered a motorised TQ at Revolution Simproducts in March 2012, and the last email I received some months ago stated that my order ‘soon would be finalised and will be ready to ship’. After that I received no more updates and no replies anymore to my emails, so probably another case for me to try to recoup my money and than will have to look for another firm who sells motorized TQs.
Kind regards,
Peter
That is disappointing Peter. I have emailed them, lets see how long long it will take them to respond.
Hi,
That's very kind of you. I completed the Cockpitsonic MIP some time ago with parts from other companies, so that project is more or less finalised and not bothered any more. Also my pedestal is complete and fully functional. I'm more worried about the motorised TQ from Revolution Simproducts - at present I still use CH throttles - and a motorised TQ is one of those "must have" items.
All the best,
Peter
