Re: My Build!
That's looking brilliant, are those project magenta guages? Do you have plans for the gauge bezels? I'm looking at a few options for bezels but haven't settled on anything yet.

Re: My Build!
A tip for gauge bezels is to go on ebay and look for sellers that sell multiple old gauges, you can always can ask them if they have any old junk gauges that they can rip the bezels off and send you them for a bargain price.
I can also cut bezels from my sign machine, where I cut bezels as decals and just apply the decal around each cutout, just as affected and very cheap....

Re: My Build!
I was going to PM you you about the possibility of decal bezels! I will get in touch with some measurements.
The gauges are a mix of reality xp and flight 1's 172. The ADF gauge is standard 172 and is a bit rubbish! Does anyone have any suggestions for an alternative?

Re: My Build!
Personally, I would save up a tenner a week and buy PM gauges, I think it is £150 for personal non commercial license. Other than that you have Peixsoft, but...and a big but.....its CPU hungry with very grainy graphics, its cheap no doubt, but you get what you pay for.
Cheers, Alex

Looks great......also you could use the Mycockpit.org photo library to upload your pictures this will enable more users to see them for time to come...Great show...

Re: My Build!
I'm pretty pleased with the reality xp t pack. I'm considering getting the n pack too (for adf and vor). I was curious to see if anyone knew of any standalone gauges. I havent looked at PM.
I'll look into picture uploading this evening.
Future plans are for a second pc for wideview purposes.

Re: My Build!
Looks to be the basis of an excellent flight simulator Alex. And as Vybhav rightly said our gallery upload is nice and simple and allows others to view and comment them at any time. It also allows you to have images in your posts without external links. Keeps everything neat and tidy. If you have any problems let me or vybhav know by PM and we'll happilly help you out.
Good luck with the build, keep us updated on progress.

Re: My Build!
Hello Ian!
I must confess to one and all that Ian has been a massive inspiration in this project not to mention a great help with his knowledge, skills and seemingly never ending supply of toggle switches!
I have now purchased 2 further 22" LED LCD's (I work part time for a well known electrical retailer and got both of them for £100!). I now need to invest in PC number 2 and wideview! Its all coming along nicely!
I elected to dismantle my CH yoke rather than extend the shaft. Pics to follow shortly.
