Land alt / flt alt
Hi gents
Just a quick question.... where do I get the LAND ALT and the FLT ALT switches/knobs for the 737NG (located on the pressurization panel). I think a normal rotary switch wont work because if you turn it 'round 360° it stops and you have to turn it back; not very cool;)
Thanks for your answer

Two double decker encoders with twin knobs... exactly like the radio ones. One deck for thousands one for hundreds.

Hi
Thanks a lot for your quick response. When I look at pics on airliners.net
it seems like that only the LAND ALT knob is a double encoder is that correct?
This means: FLT ALT: 1000feet steps
LAND ALT: 1 deck for 1000's and 1 deck for 100's
??

Hi Pascal,
The knob you are refering to as a dual knob is a single knob with looks like a double deck actually both knobs have 1 encoder they just diff. in shape.

Nihad and Tony
Thanks for your answers. Nihad I already knew before that I wanted to purchase your knobs:p;), btw awesome work your doing;).
Tony was the rotary encoder interface already built in or if not where did you get it ??
Nihad which interface would you propose?
Opencockpit perhaps?
Regards and thanks

Hi,
I have a ready made panel bought from Cockpitsonic Germany.
Wish you success building one.

Tony Ok and thanks:)
So I think i should make a shopping list where to buy all the things I need for making the LAND ALT and FLT ALT indication complete:):
Encoders: from a electronic shop nearby
Knobs: simknobs.com ( Nihad's site )
Interface: Opencockpit? or .....?
LED-Displays: .....?
(Display Holder): flightdecksolutions (Peter's site)
Can you guys help me complete the list?;)
Thanks for your answers

Thanks...learned something today
Had been told double decker knobs...probably because they look like it..
Makes more sense.
Question is the Cockpitsonic panel linkable to PMSystems or just eye candy.
