Re: Real Throttle and Pedestal conversion project
If you find a way to use the monitor, let me know. I have also one at home, but i haven't find a way to use the monitor.
Re: Real Throttle and Pedestal conversion project
I believe the monitor is not usable. The plan is to replace the monitor, and internals.

Congratulation for getting this real parts.
Re: Real Throttle and Pedestal conversion project
Cheers Fritz, congratulations on evolving your Sim now with a cockpit door :)
The difficult part now will be trying to interface it with the sim.
No transducers so I will need to make a mechanism (sliding pots) to translate the movements into joystick commands. The solenoid will also require some work and logic to do its magic --
When AP1 or AP2 = on, supply 28V to solenoid.
On AP1 or AP2 disconnect, cut 28V supply. Or perhaps link it up to the amount of joystick transnational movement pass the threshold. From the FCOM:
SIDESTICKS
Sidesticks, one on each lateral console, are used for manual pitch and roll control. They are springloaded to neutral. When the autopilot is engaged a solenoid operated detent locks both sidesticks in the neutral position. If the pilot applies a force above a given threshold (5daN in pitch, 3.5 daN in roll) the autopilot disengages and the stick becomes unlocked and the deflection is sent as command to the computers.
