So to some it up, you will need to go GO-FLIGHT + DESKTOP AVIATOR to get xplane hooked up to your sim, but you wont have the rich features of FSUIPC, everything is assigned in xplane!
Xplane is not the best for cockpit builders, nor cockpit builder friendly....but....if you can overcome the hurdles which I have then you wont regret changing over to xp!.....it rocks!

You do NOT fsuipc or anything ike it for X-Plane. X-Plane is the best software for cockpit builders, EVERYTHING is in X-Plane already. You can hook up 1000's of switches, rotaries, toggles, POTS, etc.
I used an old MJ16 USB controller card and I could use ALL 135+ switches (64 buttons, 16 double action toggles, 4 double-speed rotary decoders and 8-way Hat) without the need of anything else, no fsuipc, no converters, no pulse generators. In FS9/FSX I could only use 32 buttons, the rest were just wasted.

I'm on Fsx. Orbx is too good not to be using FSX..
As for xplane.. Did you see the board called teeny? It does support xplane.
