Dunno about the throttle Q, but the X52 work fine (also had some phantom button probs, but putting that aside, ok).
My impression os that generally speaking, Saitek are good products but quality will have to be improved to make them serious competitors of CH, etc.
Hey Toly, glad you're enjoying the throttle..... just to be totally honest with you, the gear going down like that is not the Aeroworx King Air (I fly that a lot too!), I'm afraid that is the 'phantom menace' (great name for it !)..... the gear going down on it's own was the main prob I had. Yours doesn't sound too bad. Doesn't sound like your getting it too often.
You can resolve it by d/loading the latest version of FSUIPC and entering some lines manually into the FSUIPC.cfg file. When you do this, the phantom menace goes for good, and balance is restored to the force!
All the details are covered in the www.schiratti.com/dowson forum.
May the force be with you .......always.
:)
Thanks David :)
I had a feeling it was not Aeroworx since the gear has never dropped before on idle :p It seemed proper, as I was doing touch-n-goes but perhaps at other time that would've pissed me off.
It looks like FSUIPC is going to be our good friend. Thanks again.
No probs - if you have any problems setting it up, once you have the latest version of FSUIPC (must be registered version I'm afraid), gimme a shout and I'll send you the settings that you need to add.
Go to this link, and scroll down a bit until you get to the download link for FSUIPC 3.767 .......this is the new version you need that addresses the Saitek problem.

But you also need to go into the FSUIPC.cfg and add two lines to the [Buttons] section:-
[Buttons]
Eliminatetransients=Yes
Pollinterval=50
Good luck!
