Ok, I can get the leds dimmer decreasing the max, but what triggers the dim state? Pls give some explanation if possible.

Hi Alan,
same thing here ... ;-)
Pls give an example.

An updated tutorial and explantion of INI file are going onto web site shortly.
Download latest tutorial.
Let me know if this covers dimming LEDs accurately.
The dim state is triggered by range of values coming from FS.
This range falls within the on state you defined.
This range is set by yourself.
For example,
Left landing gear has values ranging from 0 to 16383
where 0=full up, 16383=full down
Let us assume:
You have assigned gear to an LED on LED64 card.
You have calibrated ON range from 4000 to 16383 so that the LED illuminates when gear is between 1/4 down and full up.
You have set brightness to 100%
Now you calibrate dim range, within above ON range, from 4000 to 8000.
And you set brightness to 20%.
Now as gear extends:
LED will be OFF until 1/4 extended.
Then will illuminate at 20% brightness until 1/2 extended.
When extended from 1/2 to full down LED will remain illuminated, but at 100%
The dim range could be set 100% and On range to 50%.
The dim range is a misnomer - should really be:
Alternative Brightness Within On Range.
