Cheers, I need one of these!
Do you think I could make one out of wood easily enough and then glossed?
If you do not get this one, make it out of MDF, (sand and prime the "hail" out of it to get a good finish)
Or you can try that white stuff which some cutting boards are made of, can be cut with a jig saw and sanded.
Cheers Jack,
I dont think I will be buying as it goes against my religion in spending money on sims...I'm a maker...lol
But thanks to you I now have a great close up picture to make one now!
Cheers pal.

Hi Jack......
I have just found the ultimate solution for a flap knob.....
Simply cut the end off one of these!
.....Genius!

I'm afraid the feel might be inappropriate (bendy, whooshy, rubbery....)
You will end up spending the 10$ budget on a whooshy flappy....lol
Try the MDF...piece of cake! and dirt cheap, as you like things to be!
Cheers
You know jack...your definitely right on a lot of things!
Rubber would be no good, wood is better because you can create a smooth shape, cut it down, file it, paint it, rubber........? No thanks!
Also I am going to take up your idea for the flap switch mechanism, by using a slider pot by creating 2 detents in the middle for (flaps 20 and flaps 30 position), that way I don't need to make anything to mount the flaps switch to, as I can just screw the slider pot directly behind my panel.....it's all making sense now!
Thanks for the advice, will post a picture of my completed flaps knob when done!
Cheers Jack!

Very nice. Do not forget to drill all attaching holes before working on the priming sanding painting, just in case you miss the hole or split the wood.
Yeah Iv'e left a slit for the slider pot to fit in....
Cheers!
