Not cool. R/C aircrafts in the U.S. are not to be flown within 5 miles of an airport. The exception is; if the R/C field is within the 5 mile radius, the tower is to be contacted when the R/C field is active. Normally the R/C aircrafts fly below 700 ft. AGL.

But like Stef says there are some crazy's out there :( Makes them look bad for the good guys.

According to the newspaper he was reported to the authoroties by fellow R/C enthousiasts.

One idiot makes a whole community look bad.....as so often happens unfortunately.

That R/C aeroplane was thrown out of the sky by the wake turbulence of the B737.

I have to agree, not cool to do something stupid as this.
