I cleared cookies from my hard drive last night and now am having difficulty logging in and staying logged in. No cookie settings were changed and this is the only site I'm having trouble with.

I managed to get in by clicking the line on the re-direct screen, but if I allow the re-direct to go through, it takes me back to the home page and says I'm not logged in and I'm viewing as a guest.

Once I'm in, after clicking on the forum link at the top of the home page, I'm once again logged out and have to log in again and click on the re-direct link to keep from being logged out.

What's going on with the site?

I'm also still not able to edit my signature line with a new correctly sized photo. I've tried to upload from the hard drive and upload from an external server. It still maintains the old image.

What URL are you using? www.mycockpit.org ??

Yes. Now I just re-booted the system and called up the site and I'm in automatically.

I'm not sure what's happening. If it occurs again, I'll post.

I still cannot change my signature image. There was a problem with this before and an admin had to upload it for me due to some coding error or similar.

Ok send this to MattO and he can change your signature and look into the problem. Oh and make sure you send him the new signature too...

I sent an e-mail to Matt with the image URL. Thanks Bob.

I have the same problems logging in as I just went through the exact process you mentioned. My anti-virus software wipes out my cookies and caches about once a week and I have to do the log-in shuffle, just on this web site. I just figured it was me so never mentioned it.

This is the same problem I complained about awhile back. I was feeling lonely till now.....

I intentionally deleted all temp files incuding cookies as part of a disc clean-up.

This was first time I had to do the Curly Shuffle to get back in and stay in.

It seems to be working fine now, but initially I was pulling my hair out.

Sorry it took so long to respond... I've been out of town on a family emergency and now am back.

It's unfortunate the security of the site make it difficult to get back into the groove, once cookies have been lost. I've had the same problem :(

Deleting all temp files and cookies normally resolve the problem, as you found out :)

Glad you're back in working order :)

I found out that when I have this problem, just go directly to the forum page and log on there... it works perfectly every time for me. Must be something with the front page.
