Missing Purple line

Hi everybody!

I just encountered something and i need your help. Installing the latest updated on PM software as well FSUIPC and WideFS i dont get the purple line of my flightpath shown in the GC.
I can fully organice my flightplan on the CDU but nothing is shown on the GC.
And it seems that happened after i installed FSX SP1 but itusually dont have any connection to that.

But no line appears on my GC. I have installed older versions of GC, CDU but no succsess. Does someone had the same problem with that?
WideFS is always running and connected...

Have you tried reassigning the Netdir in the CDU? Sounds like the PM software has lost the netdir...

But if i lost track of the NetDir didnt i get a FAIL light on the CDU?
Coz i didnt get that....

Not if the CDU has not lost it... Sounds like the GC machine has.. Hey, it's worth a shot! And if this happened after you installed FSX, maybe your Netdir is on your FS machine? Maybe FSX did something?

Ok, have mad some test yesterday and still the same. Not only the purple line is missing, even the Vspeeds too. I think WideFs is working and it is only a Netdir issue, as you said so.....

Maybe i can ask some basic questions here for the beginning:

Is it better to have the NetDir on the FS computer or on the computer with the CDU?

Can i manually enter the NetDir path to the *.ini file of the GC?

Suggest you read and action the PM manual here: http://www.projectmagenta.com/resources/index.html

For each PC in the network you should run the PMfilecheck utility they provide. That will show you what's not working and the manual tells you how to fix it.

My suggestion if you want flawless operation, is in the FMC let it create the Netdir on the fspc.

By doing this it will set all pm software to that directory. I had issues when I tried to set it manually. Since then. No more issues. :)

Got it!.........

I just forgot to share the NetDir folder and give it read and write ability...

But thax a lot for the time you spend to read my question and for the help as well
