Hi all, can anyone tell me where I can get the push on white rubber boots for toggle switches? I did ask this before but lost the info. I don't want the Engravity screw on type, just plain push-on will be fine.

Cheers, Gwyn

Hi Gwyn,
I'm not sure if they are the push-on type but FDS have these.
Also I noticed that you were going to paint some missile covers black, have you done this yet? If not try Jaycar Electronics they have black ones same price as the red ones.
cheers

FDS has the white caps as cheap as anyone. Cheaper than Aircraft Spruce anyway.

Try BPB Surplus for the switch guards. They're the real thing, really cheap.

Cheers guys, I buy most of my stuff at Jaycar but they only have the black 'carbon fibre' look. Painting the red ones has been succesfull with satin black enamel spray, it adhered to the red plastic no problem unlike some other plastics that refuse to be painted!

Also take a look in your local hardware store. Here in Canada you can find them in the Miscellaneous boxes in the nuts and bolts section. Should be the same in the big box stores like bunnings hardware or mitre 10.

Hey John I have told you this before. I love what I see in that over head. Could you please get us some more pictures of your set up? Looks very good!

Bob,

Thanks for the kind words on the pit. It is fun creating a more "generic" pit.... like designing your own aircraft. I can pick and chose ideas from multiple cockpits and planes.

Unfortunately, so far I have not found the photo setup here intuitive... at least for my feeble brain. For example, I thought I was posting a link to the big version of that picture in that last message...... but what I got was the thumbnail instead. When I went to the bigger image to get the URL to fix it .... I couldn't right click on it and get the "properties".

I created an "album" yesterday for my pit (starting to comply with your request ;) ), but I could not figure out how to move the pictures that I have already posted here in the "general" space into that folder.

I will try to post stuff. Is there a "tutorial" somethere here about posting images?

best,

Hi John... Hmmm I will see later today if I can move your pics for you. You may not be able to. Are you having a problem posting in the album? Don't upload the thumbnails just the picture. THe software creates it's own thumbnail.... Hope this helps.. Looks like maybe we need to do a tutorial on how to upload pictures...
