Fantastic! Thanks for sharing. This does create a more cost effective solution to the scary CDU Pricing elsewhere.

Thanks for the link. I agree with Trevor. This appears to be a very cost effective way to get a CDU with out giving up kids or a body part. LOL

i'll get some pic's up as soon as i can with my FMC in action. it is very cost effective way i found, 1 FMC template, PCB, 69micro switches, LCD screen, USBkey card.
The most exspencive thing there is you FMC template from hispapanels or were ever you may get it from. You could even simply make yur own template to cut cost even more.
Theres your FMC!

Ok so now I am intersted in the whole FMC thing.

I just could not justify 900 euros for one.

The question is where do I get a 5 inch LCD screen with vga input?

Any ideas?

Marius recommends the use of a PSOne LCD screen.

Yes that is correct it's a PS1 LCD screen

Thats what I use, however I use a standard RGB input to the PSOne Screen from my video card.

The modification to get the psone screen to work on VGA isn't worth the trouble for the little difference in quality.

The FMC is going to run at either 800X600 or 640X480 anyway and the quality looks perfect at those resolutions.

Yes but keep in mind this does not have a VGA in. It does have a composite in (RCA) so if your video card has this output, if not you can get a card on Ebay that will work for like $10.00! Thats what I did.

Even cheaper is to buy a 5 inch B/W TV connected to the TV-OUT of your video-card.
Another advantage: The FMC characters look better on a TV screen then the PS1.

Yes,

However this unit is only for Video Cards that support TV Through VGA Port!!!

My laptop specified that it will. (although, I am not too sure) For the price, it is worth a shot.

There may be some screens here. I.m going to get a big tough screen that will show 2 fmc. And I will be able to touch the FMC like it was real.
