Hi,

So one of my aims is to fly without having to use the mouse or keyboard but I'm not ready for using vatsim yet (I use RC4) so there are certain inputs I still need to do that are not part of a std 737 (push back being another), what methods do others use for these kind of inputs?
I wondered whether to work out what key presses I am going to need that are FS specific i.e. not 737 inputs and then create a panel in my pedestal with a push button for each input I am going to need e.g. digits 0-9, another for Shift-P etc. but am not sure whether this is the way to go?
Any suggestions:?:

Cheers
Mike

I have a push-pull switch on my lower MIP panel R/H side assigned to "Shift-P". it works great apart from no steering in reverse. Through Sim-Boards the "Shift-P" command happens on a 'change of state' so pushback stops when I push the button back in. Hope that helps.

I too am using RC4 but am in the process of installing SB3 on another PC that has a free sound card to plug in my headset. Then I'll need to assign a PTT to one of the switches on my control column. That should get me back on VATSIM and away from the robotic voices of RC4.

As for push back, I use my FDS CDU and by pushing MENU twice, then EXTRAS, then PUSHBACK... you should be able to do a complete pushback including steering left and right from there. This feature is built into ProjectMagenta's software.
