Hi

I want to assign wav files to my flap settings so that when I select Flaps 5 or Flaps 10 or whatever, the wav file I have created plays "Flaps 5", "Flaps 10" etc but for the life of me I cannot find out how to do that in any of the documentation. I am really confusing myself with offsets, bits, bytes etc. Could someone explain/help me with this in plain English
Thanks

How are you trying to trip this sound?

As far as I know there are no event triggers in PM sounds to drive those sounds.

No. You can not just add a sound or a sound trigger to PMSounds.

OK Thanks. In that case does anyone know how, when I select Flaps 1,2,5 etc a wav file can be played announcing the Flap setting. I have already recorded the wav files and optimised them.

I don't think you can trip 4 or 5 seperate sounds for the flaps as they are all the 1 sound in FS. But if you used the epic or opencockpit card i think you can programe it in.

The Dreamfleet 727 has those sounds for each flap setting.

Not sure how they do that though. The FO makes the call after each gate selection.

That is programmed into their flap gauge.

You could try emailing Enrico and ask him to add the trigger - he's added stuff for me in the past so if you ask nicely he may do it time permitting.
