Hello,

I have a probelm with a 16/16/0 Interface card. Using FS2Phidgets TEST button I get only the Output Leds on the card to be ON the inputs are all OFF.

Using PMsystems, activating the 00 Input the 0 Output LED is ON. I have checked with PM sytems and everything is OK.

Is there a possibility to have a faulty card?

Regards

Chris

Chris,

The TEST only tests Output. (Leds and TextLCDs)

What type of switch do you have connected to input 0 ?

The is no intrinsic relationship between input 0 and output 0.
They are different ports.
What flight functionality are you attempting to achieve ?

Alan

I try to connect a large toggle switch for the battery switch.

I connected the middle switch leg to the +5 the other leg to input 00 and nothng happens. I tryied also PM system directly and nothing there also.

I have connected the G ofcourse

What puzzles me also is using the test function of PM Systems for DI00 I get the output 00 LED to light...

I might have to search a bit more...

Chris,

If indicator led is not illuminating when switch is on, then problem is either with your wiring or with card.

What are you using for power supply ?

If you replace Phidget card with a regular incandescant 5V lamp,
it should illuminate when switch is on.
This will eliminate or confirm your wiring as an issue

Alan.

I am using an extra PC Powe supply which gives 5V.

The wiring is OK since I have checked it with a multimeter and the circuit is completed when the Switch is in the ON position.

Hey Chris,

Sorry to say, but it sounds like you may have a defective board. PM me so we can set up an exchange.
