Hello everybody,

Recently I have received everything I need fo building an autothrottle system for my 747 cockpit project.

I have :

1 The servo's which I am going to connect to the servo unit.
I will use a powerfull seperate powersupply for the servo's

2 The 8/8/8 unit . I will connect potentiometers to it for using it for throttles, flaps and the speed brake.
Switches for controlling fuel cutt off , ToGa and Parking brake
A led for the master warning switch.

What do I connect to the 0/16/16 unit ?
As far as I have understood nothing which has to do with my autothrottle system.

Is it like the 8/8/8 but more enhanced for extra options : switches / leds and servos for the fuel switches to retract etc. ?

Thanks for all suggestions.

HI,

There is another page with an even better side by side here:
http://www.phidgetsusa.com/tutorials/tutorial_IFKdifferences.asp

You can see how the 8/8/8 has it's own 5v output for the digital outs and switches can be wired directly to the digital inputs with no extras needed. The 0/16/16 needs an external power supply to make use of the inputs and outputs which "switch to ground" and are used for wiring many lights and switches.
