MCP 406 ends immediatly when FS is running

Hi,

I have re-installed FS 2004 and MCP on an other machine (with an AMD Athlon64
processor). When FS is not running, MCP starts up fine and keeps running.
But as soon as I start FS, MCP ends. The log file does not help much:

When I start FS first, and then MCP (or have MCP automatically started) it
displays "MCP starting up" in the green bar, quickly followed by "MCP program
ended".

Release 404 and 398 also did not work.

I have the hardware MCP from CP Flight, and standby instruments from TRC.

Does anybody has a suggestion?
