Hi all,

Just downloaded everything after over a year of not simming. I put FSUIPC dll
in mods on main fs pc. and replaced the ini too, as pete says.

put the widefs stuff in my capts PC and in the MCP/engines center PC. Put
the PFD stuff in each also. Just like I use to do. I checked the reg of
petes and I am already registered.

My capts ND and PFD come on with Widefs and do show OK for where the plane
is.

My MCP though, when I hit the widefs just gives me that window saying waiting
to connect.

I am at a lost here. I did notice that with my keyboard using F3 (which
says its the throttles) i do not get a smooth run up just for testing
purposes, but very jerky, long increases in speed. The ND and PFD jerk too and
hardly move, but do follow what the plane is doing.

Hi all,

Well I got it to finally connect, though it now gives me notices about not
being able to start items over on the capts PC??? I hit Widefs, get those
notes, hit OK, then it says connected, then I hit the PFD.exe icon and the
engines come on.

I do notice now that my main FS PS and view are running really slow and
jerky, as mentioned. There is about 10 sec pauses, (with me for now just
hitting F4 to get it rolling). A year ago this never happened, I am wondering if
the new set of all the builds and such might be causing this. Any
thoughts?

Are you using TCPIP or IPX to connect?

What version of FS are you using?

What builds of WidesFS, Fsuipc and PM?

What operating system?

Is there anything in the wideclient.log file on the machine that will not
connect?

Is there anything in the wideserver.log file in the modules directory?

Hi Randy,
I had a similar issue with my CDU computer. It would NOT work properly with
the latest wideclient. Contrary to the authors statements, i went back to
an older version of wideFS and it worked fine. The other 6 computers on my
flightsim network worked great with the latest builds. Go figure!?? :)

I am having a similar issue. My WideFS (which admittedly Im very new to) is working GREAT on the Cap PMRJ machine, but takes forever to find the connection on the FO machine, which is faster and a better machine than the CAP side. BTW, one connected, it runs just great. However, it will take 5-10 minutes sometimes. Is this a network issue you reckon? BTW, for the CAP side, a friend (the IT guy for my project) set up the network and he talked me thru the network for the FO side. Maybe we missed somthing that could make them talk faster?
