captain and co pilot priority buttons

getting towards the stage of wiring up captain and co-pilot priority buttons and LEDs
1 can somebody tell me how they work?
2 if they work?
3 what they do within jeehell ?
as you press a button what LEDs light up arrow or co-pilot or pilot markings
