Hi guys,
I am planning a new PC build for exclusive use on my flight sim. The main dilemma I am in now is the choice of the graphics card. Will the Nvidia GTX 1080 (8Gb) be more than sufficient for P3D v4 + JL FMGS or is it better for the future to toss an additional $200-$250 and get the 1080Ti (11Gb).

thanks for your views.

Hi.
I guess the normal 1080 is enough. But if you are planning for other games in the future as well you have to think about 1080Ti. More Graka is also better. It depends on you money ;)

Thank you Niklas. My present thinking is to install the 1080 and if there is a need later I can install a second 1080 through an SLI bridge.

No mate, one 1080Ti is better then 2 x 1080 SLI. I have tested this. SLI is not giving any boost, and with 3 projectors is working worst then with SLI disabled. So definitely SLI is not good idea, at least for now. Apart from that NVidia seems to be lot less acting in SLI marketing, so might be the sign....
