View Full Version : CPFLIGHT FCU A320 installation problem. Help!!

Hi,

I was updating my PC (usb, port drivers, etc) and now my FCU from CPFLIGHT stop working. I have no restore point to use and rolling back drivers doesn't work.

So I try to install the FCU again, but it doesn't work.

When I connect the FCU USB cable no device installation starts. A new COM port shows up in Device Manager, but the FCU doesn't install (nothing appears as CPFlight Serial Adapter as I believe it should).

I'm using Project Magenta.

I contacted cpflight, but I believe they are closed for holidays until the end of the month...

Anyone can help?

Hi Joao

did you install the driver ?

After installation of the driver, CPFlight should show up in your device manager with a COM port. That one must go into your FCU.ini under "CPFlightComm"

Hi,

The confusion starts there: the cpflight manual talks about a driver we can download at the website, called usb.zip, but there's no file with that name to download.

At the website there's no driver for pmagenta users, so I installed the one for FSX, but Cpflight still doesn't show at Device Manager...

Yes I associated the com port at the FCU.ini, but nothing happens.

You need to install the device driver - seems like it is not on their new website. I would try reaching one of them at https://www.cpflight.com/en/who-we-are.php

Thanks already tried that, but they are on vacations.
Guess I have to wait... Thanks anyway

seems they have a new website and the old driver file usb.zip is nowhere to be found - such is progress.

I am running the FCU under WIN 7 (driver date 22/10/2009) and still have the old zip from 2012. If you pm me with an e-mail I can send it to you.
