Hi guys,

how do I arm the spoilers at start?

i tried with the analogue axis for the speedbrakes, but the message in ECAM is still showing, I need to arm (blue)
Then I tried to assign a button via the FMGS config tool, but no reaction. Tried several settings - the toggle button, only on pressing, or on press and release.

Can it be, that not all functions in that list are working? (just experiencing the same with TCAS buttons)

Thanks,
michael

all methods you talk about should work...

JL, there might be a bug with the arm button in the later version when not using the analog arm option. Could you please have a look? I have the same problem.

Hello Michael,

if i remember correct you are using the levers from Saitek. I use the same product and have no problems since the last update. I've set one lever for the spoilers. In the down position of every lever you will push a button. I've set this button to arm the spoilers with a "Toggle Event". So the spoilers are armed when the lever is pushed fully down and disarmed in the zero position.

Maybe i can help per PM in german if this will be easier.

Greetings
Marc

Coming back to this issue, I've marked the checkbox to use the analog axis for arm, calibrated the axis to have some space between zero and arm, saved and then unmarked the checkbox, recalibrated the axis to have full length and miraculously my arm button came back to life again despite trying re-assigning the button, saving, restarting, etc.

In the past it was working fine, broke after upgrading to 47.4.1 from 47.1. It was appearing as if it was pressed twice in a very short time, the speedbrake would show armed and would disarm immediately.

@Marc, thanks for the hint. Yes, I'm using saitek, but not for the spoilers. Therefore I'm using the axis of my joystick.

But after reconfiguration it seems to work now. Calibrating was a bit tricky though, with the lever jumping up and down. Or may be I just don't get it, how to use that window.

Did you ever recalibrate after the update?
I tried to keep backwards compatibility but apparently it failed in any case...

I didn't recalibrate the axis at first (at least I don't remember) because I thought my problem was just with the arm button. I reselected the button toggle event and saved/restarted, then tried the push/release events in case that was the change and then after a few days tried the "hack" of using the analog arm then removing it that I explain above and it worked.
