Hi,

Is anybody familiar with the new Skalarki dimmer board and how it connects to the CS FLOOD panel and others?

I could really use a couple of hints....

Thanks in advance :-)

That's what I would like to know too Stephen.
Marcin's products are excellent, but no descriptions at all.
I just received the DYI OVHD, new I/O board and new dimmer and I have really no idea how to connect all the switches and buttons.
Hopefully Marcin will give us some hints when he will be back from holidays.

Regards
Laszlo

Since my posting I have progessed a bit.
I wil PM you.

:-)

I am really curious about how your DIY is going to progress.
I am considering that myself but uncertain about thr number of hours needed to complete it...

Hi Stephan

As this is a hobby, just do not count the hours :-)
I have almost completed my forward overhead now and it took me many hours and I have bothered Marcin with many questions, but his patience and support are exceptional!

I would do it again any time as I had fun doing it by my self and have learned a lot!

Cheers
Greg

Hi Greg,

Yeah, you're right - it's just a hobby. But without any infos about assembly and connections it's really annoying and in this case almost impossible to figure out how it works even in 1000hours.

I know Marcin is very patient and helpful, but IMO he just should put all the infos on his website. Would be much easier for all of us, right?
BTW if you have any docs about OVHD assembly, I would really appreciate if you'd share them with the community.

Thanks and regards
Laszlo

Lol this hobby is a continued ballance of hours spent and money spent.
I guess the price of a PnP ready FWD OH and DIY is in the order of 3000 GBP vs 2000 GBP respectively. Somehow the amount of hours should be related to this difference in cost. If say the total time needed is much more than 100 hrs which I presume it is then its a question of what is your most sparce ressource time or money.
on the other hand - DIY is fun and a satisfaction, and 2000 vs 3000 can be the difference between what is obtainable and what is not... :-)
And Yes he is really responsible in helping people out.

How many months have you been working on the OH?

Maybe 7 or 8 month now, but I have to say that I have not been able to work on it every week, sometimes not for two or three weeks even.
