After years of fooling around, I finally made a decent A320 throttle handle! I have a very functional prototype throttle unit at this point. These handles are just the icing on the cake..... This was printed on my 3d printer, it took about 1.5 hours and cost about 50 cents.

Pretty amazing what you can do with a 3D printer these days! Are you planning to build the whole throttle this way?

Regards.

Way to go, bud.

That is outstanding work.

Thanks for providing inspiration.

Hi guys!

Omni: No, I will build the rest of the throttle with rigid ABS sheet or aluminum. My prototype is made from wood that I cut on the laser. It works really well, and has all of the gates and working thrust-reverse mechanism. The pot is geared to provide almost complete rotation across it's range with the stop-to-stop movement of the throttle lever. I was ready to pull the trigger on a Throttltetk A320 Flightbox, but hought I would give it one more go. There's still a lot of work to do, but it's encouraging. I have attached a pic of the prototype throttle assembly. The brass gizmo is a ball-catch that provides the latching of the gates. It is spring-loaded and pops in and out of the holes you see very crisply. All of the functions are ideas from other peoples throttle builds. The only original idea I had here was to make the pot mount on a pivoting arm. This way I can disengage the pot while working on the throttle lever.

Beautiful work,

I am also making some parts of my Airbus simulator using 3D printing. Soon I'll post pictures!

I use a Folgertech Prusa I3. About $300 on Ebay, comes as an easy to assemble kit.

Hello,

one of my throttle handles is broken and i need a new one. A friend of mine has a 3D printer and so it would be fine to get the file. But i can't find it. Would be really nice if you can help me.

Nice regards

Hi,
Hope you don't mind me asking, but do you still have the stl files for your throttle tops and might they be available for sharing?

I have been trying to create some based on the drawing in the uploads section but have been struggling somewhat...
