Hi Doug,

Beginning of November we ordered FCU at Skalarki also... So we expect it end of Dec or first week of January.
After setup we can share our experience with you.

But we also appreciate if current users can provide us some tips here in the thread.

Are you guys building the Skalarki FCU into your own custom glareshield?

Yes indeed (for me at least)... dont have enough funds to buy a glare shield at this stage so have drawn up a plan that fits with my existing setup that will suffice for now... i just dont have any dimensions for the FCU unless its based on actual reallife size?

The alternative would be the Vier Im Pott glareshield which should fit the FCU specifically.

Sigh, I wish we had standards but each one is made completely different.

FDS has their own glareshield and FCU.
The simparts.de frame fits CP Flights parts.

Hi Guys !
I have the FCU of Scalarki since one and a half years and I am very satisfied.
His service is excellent, all mail will be answered immediately. Initially, there were still problems with the decimal point in speed / Mach and Vert.Speed Show this but all could be repaired by me with the help of Marcin (Skalarki). I can only recommend the fcu. a great part for this price. There is also the possibility of self-built Glairsheeld Wings to connect directly.

Karl

Thanks for the comment Karl, appreciated!

I was wanting to know about the software interface in that i see when updating the Jeehell software there is a box to tick refering to the I/O Profiler from Skalarki... I assume i need to install this as well? After that, is there anything else needed or is it simply plug and play form then on?

You invite you to SkalarkiIOProfiler 4.1 of its website and the JLFMGS.dll.
Install all according to the instructions of marcin's homepage and thats it. perhaps you still need the profile for the FCU. That you can certainly get by Marcin however.
see: http://www.skalarki-electronics.eu/pages/skalarkiio-profiler
I hope this helps you further.

Hey guys,

i can absolultely confirm Karlīs statement. Marcins hardware is excellent and the support is very quick. I have all my components from him, as can be seen in this post: http://www.mycockpit.org/forums/showthread.php?t=28025

The glareshieldsection is build from the plans from Marcins website, which can be downloaded, when registered.

With your FCU, you will get the actual profiler with an working profile for the FCU. The only thing, which could happen, that you have to reassign one or two inputs or outputs, when they are not correct set in profile, but with the integrated editor its not a problem.
One tip for better working of hardware:
Wait with starting profile, until FMGS and FSUIPC buttons state green. In some cases, it can cause problems, when you autostart profile without running all other components. You can test this feature, when everything is running perfectly.

Thanks very much Henrik for the tip!

I have visited the site again and for the life of me cant find the download of the plans you speak about for the glareshield!

Any chance you can tell me where it actually is on the site? I am registered etc..

Cheers

My new Skalarki FCU arrived just right in time to XMas - and Iīm absolutely happy with it. I cannot say, how Marcins support is (no doubt, its good!), because I didnīt need it. Just installed the profiler, browsed for the USB driver and plugīn play. The quality of manufacturing looks very good as well. Itīs not cheap, but itīs worth every penny and it was worth to wait for it for 4 months.
Happy New Year
Rainer

That's great to hear Rainer!

Glad you are enjoying the unit... i have yet to receive mine form Britain... should be here at the end of the month all going well... and not cheap as you say but worth the almost $2000.00 spent on it!

Thanks for the feedback!

Can anyone of you review the Skarlarki FCU, or any other hardware and I will put it up on the website?

Thank you.

Hi Friends !
Here are some photos of my FCU of Skalarki . I got it in September 2013. I had to rebuild because the points at MACH and V / S did not work .It was no problem thanks to Marcin's support . He has already taken into account in the new parts .

I'm heading up to Marcin next week, I'll grab a few pics for you if you like. I'll also review my fcu, once it's been repaired. :)

Okay excellent :)

I am open to suggestions on what you would like to have on the website; there are still incomplete sections e.g. the 'FAQ' section.
