Hi I'm planning on designing a cessna throttle please see the attachment for the design.

I'm not sure how to connect the potentiometer to my computer though. Is leo bodnar the best option because the computer see's it as a joystick so can be easily configured? I also read about GP Wizz but does it have the same functionality? Also is the BUO836A the same as the X apart from extra inputs, I don't need many input yet I'm just starting out.

Would be great to hear your advice on my design + how to best configure it!

Built mine using a real cessna throttle and a linear potentiometer close to your design. I did mount the pot upside down, because I read somewhere that keeping dust out of teh slider was very important. I used a BUO836x.

Good luck!

AK Mongo's suggestion is the same way I will be interfacing my real Cessna throttle when I build my C172 sim next year. I think it is the best way to do that job. You will quickly find that 32 inputs will get used up. Your starter rotary switch would take about 5 on it's own, if you are going to build a cockpit! Cheers Gwyn
