I would not provide a new AP FBW with bigger oscillations unless I made a big mistake in the package content...
There are some people who already tried that B32/4 and it works for them.
Make sure you always get above 24fps in FSX/P3D.

Hi JL,
there was a former version of your software which had the ability to show the actual frame rates for each display module. Is it possible to get this feature again? I would like to check the frames on my PFDs to evaluate where the stuttering of the altitude indication comes from.

Hi JL, i just installed the B32.4 from scratch.
It's all ok now , but there still is the backlight problem for FCU and RMP CockpitSonic.
The FCU and the RMP do their work , but they don't have backlight.
The only lights turned on are the digits displays, all the buttons are always turned off even they are active.

Thanks, I am using FS Global Real Weather and will check if that is causing a problem. It started to happen at the end of February after installing a new FMGS update. FSGRW was there before already, and the altitude indiactor worked very smooth before. I will report the outcome of the test. Maybe I can make a video as well.

every time when starting the FMGS, the NavData app is loading always all the .bgl files. Is that normal? Takes about 5 minutes, every time. Isn't there a check to tell it that there are no changes since the last start???

just installed from scratch 32.4...previously uninstalled aircraft from fsx...so everything is clean and new.
something must be off in the new .air file or FBW : it's impossible to control the aircraft in pitch which suddenly "jumps" up or down on small stick inputs...also the AP is not able to control the pitch.
am i the only one with this?

I put the correct airfile and the problem still there, it improves a little bit but its pitching up and down all the way, when i reach cruise altitude it levels, but then it starts pitching 6,000 or 8000,ft per min, up and down.
Dont know whats going on, also after that the MCDU and the FCU was not responding.

I've been experiencing the same situation here....and that's not from a fully clean install, just using the updater. The new air file I downloaded separately and inserted manually.
During all stages of flight I'm getting oscillations of +25deg up to -15deg down on pfd. At first I thought it was just my poor W&B management skills that were to blame ;) lol
I'll give any new update a try but, sorry to say, for the moment it's relatively grounded.

Hi JL,
after a long overhead and pedestal construction I'm back. Your software gets better and better, incredibly. It makes a lot of fun to fly. Unfortunately I have after a complete new software installation small problems. On the nd waypoints, vors, ndbs and airports are not displayed, only the constraints are displayed. A new installation of Navdatapro file on all PCs has not helped. With version B32.2 everything was good. The second problem is, when I turn on the Seatbelt Signe the Fault LED flashes on the master switch. The same thing happens, when I turn the Alt knob on the FCU. In SIOC monitor the effect is not present, only when I started the cockpit software. Is it possible that is a fault in the cockpit software? I checked my Cable , Leds and Switches, but i found no mistakes. Thanks again for the great cockpit software.

I will reinstall again, and run some few tests, the W/B is correct and im running at 60FPS all the time.
Yesterday I changed theweather to clear skies and the erratic AP pitching stoped, that makes me think those pitching problems are associated with winds.

Did a complete reinstall with 32.4 but still had the wild oscillations....using real time weather. In flight I disabled FSUIPC weather settings, but maybe that was too late (?) I'll disable weather all together at the beginning of flight prep and try this way also in hopes of achieving a baseline comparison.

I didnt put any real world weather.
Just added some clouds with fsx weather theme, so the winds were not that unestable.
I saw the glitch at 6:28 mark and its similar how my pitching problems start.
but in my case it continues, up and down, between 8000ft and 10,000 in VS, its weird because the plane was leveled, sometimes the airbus makes a complete loop :lol:.
I will run some tests tonight.

You need to install EHID drivers from uweschneider.de. You have to request a free license to them by email.
JH provide a driver to interface his software with EHID drivers.

I did that tonight and made a complete flight without problems, the fbw performed very well. I tested without any weather but the FBW was steady all the flight, something that i hadnt experienced.
Even though with cleared wetaher i was experincing some glitches with the FBW, but now it was steady all the flight. Thanks JL!
Ill try another flight now with some fsx weather and see how it goes.

Not sure what you did exactly, but to sum up: you need to get the data from USGS, unzip it, extract the nexessary data using "egpws data extractor", and make sure the files are in the correct folder (EIS\EGPWS data\XX with XX going from 00 to 82, total 27 folders with 251 files inside each of them).
Also, the TER display is not always instantaneous, the ND must load the data which can take up to a couple minutes after ND start.

I have extracted the HDR that Using EPGWS in and the files are in the path you have mentioned . Have waited over 15 minutes but nothing . Could it be using divide by 1 is the problem even though that I have used it in the past and worked perfectly.

No, this should not be the problem. I can only think of a few things right now:
1) you did not get the files for the region where you're flying
2) The files have to be in the EIS folder on the comptuer where you run the ND of course. If you have separate comptuers f or CPT/FO, you need to have the data o both computers.
3) you are neither in ARC or NAV mode (EGPWS is hidden in ILS/VOR/PLAN)
4) you TER button is not working properly (you can try by going in the MCDU MENU then toggling EGPWS from there).
5) You have a problem with opengl drivers

I have checked this on today's flight, and it looks like this for me:
- CP baro set to 1013 or STD: CP altitude is moving smoothly
- CP baro set to <> 1013: CP alitutde is stuttering
- FO baro set to 1013 or STD: FO altitude is stuttering
- FO baro set to <> 1013: FO altitude is stuttering

With last version of SIOC_Creator the Lower OVHD settings defined with previous versions disappeared.
"Use lower OVHD" is not ticked and all settings are gone (values are empty).

I feel so stupid posting this because it is basic FSX stuff, but since installed B32.4 and updates, then removing all and clean installing B33 my frame rates have gone to **** my FSX with sliders maxed runs at 300/400fps unlimited starting JL it drops to just 8 or 9 I have tried all the tricks I know. Feels like there is another program running in he background but control/alt/delete only shows A320 FMGS and components. My Client PC's are all updated and I am out of ideas. Sever s only running on main PC and there is just 1 aircraft loaded, I am stuck, ....please help if you know where I can look , many many thanks Philip

It's about 10% and 2-3 rows in Device Manager shows EIS.exe 30-50MB each, but after 15-20 minutes becomes 30-40% and each EIS.exe shows 400-500MB. My clients have 2GB RAM.

@Leonidas: Try to launch each EIS manually (from the shortcuts in EIS fodler). Launch ND last. Wait a few minutes in between to let them initialize, and tell me if it works better that way.
If you run two or more EIS on the same computer, 2GB might a little small, I haven't had the opportunity to test that.
@Omniatlas: that's strange. They should retract automatically when disarming the GND SPLR and putting THR LVR back in IDLE.

Yes, I wait between them. I run now a Windows update for the 3 clients like our friend said and I see that there are some of them. So, after completion I'll test them again and let you know probably tomorrow. Thanks a lot JL.

Thank you Jean Luc, I already lock my frames to 30 fps but they wildly fluctuate between 1 and 29. I am running Win7 64 on Server and clients. Server Has i7 3770 @ 3.7ghz and 16gb ram. All machines have updated windows and the CPU is working below 20% and memory uses less than 3gb. I have no weather or additional program's running. Is there any other test I can run? Philip

I really cannot help you much there, I personnaly can run the complete software on one single computer here, which is only a I7 860 @ 2.8GHz...
Check that you're not in full screen mode with FSX, or other things such as FSX window overlapping over two monitors.
Also check the graphics card has the latest drviers...

I don't have any link, the data is property of the USGS, I will not take the chance to host it on my own server. Only way is to log in and search there http://earthexplorer.usgs.gov/ in the "Data Sets" section then "digital elevation" -> "GTOPO30"

2. P3D run always in full screen, because in a full cockpit environment I don't like to see taskbars and menus, besides my Out Of Memory issues happens on clients, not on server.

Leonidas, the CPU and fullscreen ideas were not meant for you but for IRinside who's having FPS losses in FSX...
As for you, for now I do not know why you can get those errors, except for not enough RAM indeed... But I find it strange either...

I do not own P3D, so I cannot answer this question, unfortunately. But as I read that you only have 2 GB of RAM, I was not very surprised that you have problems. 8 GB is the minimum you should have for FSX or P3D.

thanks for the update. I have seen that you worked on the altitude stuttering again. In my test flight I can confirm that the stuttering is gone now on CP side, no matter which barometric value is set. Unfortunately on FO side the stuttering is still there (also no matter which barometric value is set).

Testing the new update after reinstall, i have flaps mapped to two joystick button, they go down well but there is no way i can retract them...any tips?

The GPWS keeps repeats the callout if you've been steady in the call out range for about 11 seconds I think.
The brakes system has to be improved, I'll work on that later.

Hi all -- tried out the new terrain radar feature -- it has up the notch with realism :)
However had some issues flying in LOWI (innsbruck) -- no red color terrain seen, even on approaching a mounting hill and about to crash. At one point at some elevation, all I see is green...its so green that I am unable to differentiate between the waypoints (is that how it is in the real radar?)

Yes i encountered this sort of bugs :) but maybe depends on throttle...i think however that the mdcu must switch to TO phase if the plane leave the ground regardless of throttle position don't you agree jeehell?

-I'm using the latest version of your software.
-FSX is running smoothly on the server and FPS is above 60 and I've forwarded PFD ND EWD SD and FCU on 2 clients.

@Rigo: there is no weather radar possible for now. I have a lot of things to do first.
As for your problems with managed modes, please take screenshots during the takeoff (from idle to above ACC ALT).
Just so you know, if everything is correctly set up (hardware and software), there is no reason for this to happen unless you did something wrong. There just hasn't been any bug around that for at least 6 months, and I did not change anything in that field for a few updates.

Hi JL -- I'm trying out the new terrain graphic mode on my remote computer now -- I cannot get it displayed.
I have the EGPWS data\ in the EIS\ directory. It is also on the local computer. It works if I open the ND on the local computer. I do not get any terrain display on the remote computer.
The remote computer is a Macbook Air with a nvidia built in graphics card. Do you need a higher spec card?

must be my ancient MacBook Air unable to keep up with the graphics because it does not draw it - the filed flight plan route waypoints is okay.
MacBooks run x86 chips so it is just a matter of using boot camp to dual boot and install windows.

Hm, that would be great if your software could run over a virtual machine -- I think it requires higher demands now. With the new terrain graphics enabled it runs sluggish with everything on one computer (2500k i5, 660ti OC Nvidia)

Sorry i run my OVHP only on the original Display from the MacBook till i get my real one ;). No outsourced Monitors. I think also that the only way is to use multiple Monitors are the TH2GO.

I think It may be possible to run all modules from one computer, just have to upgrade my CPU :)
Right now,
motherboard video outputs - 1x vga, 1x hdmi
Nvidia 660 TI OC - 1x hdmi, 2x dvi, 1x displayport
That is 6 outputs already; 1x output will be used for the projector (visuals), leaving 5 for the glass, and mcdu.

I have installed the EGPWS data successfully and must say, this really enhances the realism feeling a lot :-)
But I only see the terrain on the CPT ND, not on the FO ND. I have tried both ways, using the Offset and using the CPT MCDU menu.
And another one:
when I try to enter coordinates into the MCDU, I get the error message "not in database". How do you enter coordinates into the MCDU?

Stephan, you need the EGPWS data on the FO computer, and you must select TERR from FO MCDU or with the FO offset. It should work...
As for the LAT/LON point, the syntax is LAT/LON where:▪ LAT starts with the letter N or S (North or South) then one or two digits for degrees of arc then two digits for minutes of arc, and eventually a decimal part for minutes of arc.
▪ LON starts with the letter E or W (East or West) then one to three digits for degrees of arc then two digits for minutes of arc, and eventually a decimal part for minutes of arc.
Example: N4401.8/E00715 stands for 44°1.8' North and 007°15' East

I have noticed that the PA Airbus with the .air file dated 02.04.2014 is now rolling along the LOC ( ILS/APPR mode). GS is OK.
And
The EFIS options WPT/VORD/NDB/ARPT are not displayed on ND reliably. Either they all work or none.

Hi JL -- airport YBCG, when selecting RNAV 16 on the MCDU under the arrivals page, runway doesn't display on the ND, only the last nav point prior to landing. I have to select RNA16 twice (no STARS) before it displays correctly.
Will test again to see if this is reproducible, cheers.

2- On RCDR panel when flight crew turn on the GND CTL pb as part of cockpit preparation, The button has to be switched off automatically when the A/C is airborne.
3- During cockpit preparation and battery check, SD does not bring up ELEC page automatically when I turn the BAT 1 and 2 OFF.
4- In flight if I turn off PACK 1 and/or 2, no warning triggers on EWD.
5- The CRS of ILS cannot be modified in RAD NAV page of MCDU in case of back course take off for correct indication of Ground Roll Guidance Command Bar.
6- There is still some problems with Flight Plan on ND and actual flight trajectory. (see pictures bellow) the airplane symbol on ND always drifts from flight plan especially during holding and tight interception. It seems the airplane does not try to correct itself with flight plan except for straight flight path.
7- I have noticed that maximum Bank Angel commanded by FD on PFD does not exceed more than 25 degs when AP is on. While I have seen in real A320 that the maximum Bank Angel with AP on, is 30 degs.
8- When planning a route by using MCDU F-PLN >> AIRWAYS >> VIA[ ] function followed by selecting a desire STAR, The common waypoints between the airway's segment and STAR should not be duplicated on F-PLN page.

I use TOPCAT as my calculation tool and Loadsheet exporter.
But i got a little issue with this if i use the A321 FMGS JH PROJEKT AIRBUS A321-211 Air France Model.
Everytime if l like to export it to fsx i got the following error message:
"There is a differnece in the Dry Operation Weight between TOPCAT and FSX. You might have loaded the wrong aircraft type in FSX"
When i klick "continue" TOPCAT Exports all but after checking payload data i got this error:
"Can not update payload and Fuel, Manuallly set Payload to 0 kg and Fuel quantity to 0 kg."
I didn´t find a A321 Model in Topcat.
How can i fix this?

Point number 8, i already told about this little times, so i think he's aware of that and i suggested to automatically remove duplicated waypoint that it's not part of a sid or star etc...

1- CVR TEST : this should work, as the FCOM says: "This activates the test, if the CVR is on (the GND CTL pushbutton pressed, or during the first 5 minutes after energization of the aircraft electrical network), and the parking brake is on."
2- GND CTL pb : I quote the FCOM again : "The system automatically switches from ON to AUTO at the first engine start, and also in case of an electrical transient." The transients are not simulated. But in no cases the switch will revert to auto when airborne, as any way it is working (either because forced ON or because of the auto logic, so no need to get it back to auto then).
3- I have some work to do on the batteries, I do not know when I'll start on that.
4- ECAM warnings are not all implemented yet, I slowly add them when I find the time to do so.
5- The back course function is not supported, only front beam. The ILS course is automatically set from the navigation database, I'll see in the future to allow the manual CRS change as per the acft specs (probably when I'll add the RMP back up tuning mode).
6- About HOLDs: the drawing of holding pattern in the real aircraft is achieved by using the green dot speed. It may take into account the wind, but if the aircraft flies in selected mode at a faster speed than GD, then the ACFT symbol will not follow the track.
In general on all legs, I think you do not realize the complexity of drawing curves with winds and TAS parameters... I do not think any freeware could come up with curved displays, and not sure even all expensive payware have as detailed ARINC legs as my software...
7- Actually in most cases, the turn limit is 25° on the real ACFT. It can be up to 30° in some legs (fixed turn radius for example)
8- I'll look at that

1- Yes, it was my mistake. I forgot to set a button for parking brake.
2- Thats right, But I mean the GND CTL pb turns to AUTO position automatically which is "lights out". but for me whenever I turn it ON during p. check, The blue light remains illuminated throughout the flight. Anyway I will check it again.
6- I have encountered another strange behavior. The airplane turned opposite direction during a direct entry holding.
7- I have seen many times in a CAE A320 FFS that bank angle limit while AP engaged is 30°. Also checked A320 FMGS by FAROS and some other videos which are 30°.
No doubt your software is the best and I appreciate every single byte of your project and extremely grateful for all your efforts.

No, it was on NAV mode. I just changed the default inbound course value calculated by fmgs and put my desire one prior reaching the waypoint and the waypoint was part of my flightplan.
but this is the first time that something like this happens.

I have checked in A320 FFS and as I said before the blue "ON" light extinguishes automatically.
And this is exactly what official A320 CBT from Airbus says:

The AP issue has been solved.
I have noticed some minor issues which are not really important but it might help FMGS be more realistic.
1- CVR TEST button on overhead panel does not sound BEEP! when it is pressed.
2- On RCDR panel when flight crew turn on the GND CTL pb as part of cockpit preparation, The button has to be switched off automatically when the A/C is airborne.
3- During cockpit preparation and battery check, SD does not bring up ELEC page automatically when I turn the BAT 1 and 2 OFF.
4- In flight if I turn off PACK 1 and/or 2, no warning triggers on EWD.
5- The CRS of ILS cannot be modified in RAD NAV page of MCDU in case of back course take off for correct indication of Ground Roll Guidance Command Bar.
6- There is still some problems with Flight Plan on ND and actual flight trajectory. (see pictures bellow) the airplane symbol on ND always drifts from flight plan especially during holding and tight interception. It seems the airplane does not try to correct itself with flight plan except for straight flight path.
7- I have noticed that maximum Bank Angel commanded by FD on PFD does not exceed more than 25 degs when AP is on. While I have seen in real A320 that the maximum Bank Angel with AP on, is 30 degs.
8- When planning a route by using MCDU F-PLN >> AIRWAYS >> VIA[ ] function followed by selecting a desire STAR, The common waypoints between the airway's segment and STAR should not be duplicated on F-PLN page.
By the way I could not find any button to set and control THS.

Sound pack from Daniel Frattini has its own sound.cfg. Just paste it into the sound folder (Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\a320 FMGS JH Project Airbus A320-214\sound).

unrtately on my flights in the real 320 cockpits i discvered th GND CTL light remains lit even after engines start.
moreover, had two Alitalia pilots in my cockpit today and they confirmed the GND CTL light remains lit if selected to ON...they said JL actual behaviour is correct regarding that light.

JL don't know why i didn't noticed this before but actually on Skalarki FCU when u arm the APPR the fcu appr light does not light anymore...the green light was working in the past...
of course i checked he FCU light and it is working with hardware test program...

Yes, looks like the real deal :) Thank you to JL and Lashrathius for implementing the changes.
I believe they are working on the color changes -- right now the terrain doesn't change to red the closer you get to it.

@Peiman: the CBT you point is correct. It says that the ON should extinguishes when you put the GND CTL to ON before engines are started, and the action of starting the engines will revert GND CTL to auto. This is not yet modeled. However, I think it is possible to force it to ON after that.
@Miatanet: every time you install the software, it will install the FS aircraft. It will remove the sound.cfg each time, that's partly why it is sometimes better to update using the updater only...
As for the GND CTL korry, you have to ask Marcin indeed.
@Filippo: if the software APPR key is ON, then it's most probably an error in Marcin's driver...

Hi Jl,
i got a question or idea for your SIOC-Creator and want to ask if you can integrate the following thing.
I got this Light-Bar-LED (http://www.produktinfo.conrad.com/datenblaetter/125000-149999/141577-da-01-en-KB2450YD_FLAECHEN_LED.pdf) to implements the ads in my FCU.
My problem is that I need 3,5 LED surfaces with a total of 14 LED's (there are 4 LEDs per module) to display LAT, ALT, and LVL / CH. But 14 LEDs complete to one output is pretty intense. :)
My idea is that you, if this possible, integrating a feature in the next update where you can add a unlimited number of outputs per display output?
It is similar with the other Displays.
Or I write a own specially SIOC script for it, if this possible anyway?

This is the way to go, you just have to find the variable names in the jeehellware.ssi script for the outputs you need to duplicate, and put your code in another text file that SIOC Creator will merge with its own code.

Nah, I just thought it might be useful if totom config files could be included in the zip file :)
Anyone have any issues with gears automatically deploying when flaps is configured to 1 prior to landing? This only happened I believe after the last update.
I have not assigned the flaps joystick button (set to flaps_increment right now) to any other assignments. Very strange.

Hey,
i need help. Today i did a complete New Installation.
useing OC MCDU. I Created with the SIOC Creater the MCDU Switches.
Keys are all ok in function, can see that by the Encoder Software. Launching the A320 all Fine, but no function by Pressing the "/" and two Buttons above?
rest is ok.
That is not logical.
any ideas ?

so far so good. But how can I switch between CONNECT and DISCONNECT? Is there a setbit/clearbit to write in the SIOC script?
At the moment EXT PWR AVAIL connects (with green LED) but how can I disconnect this function again? I hope it's not too complicated to explain ;)

Hi JL -- I was testing the TCAS -- no aircraft is tracked and displayed on the ND when the FCU radial dial is at 80 nm or above. Is this true to real life?

ben i checked during my last flight in the real 320 and the TCAS was available and displaying traffic even with 80 nm range and maybe more (not sure about more but 80 miles yes)...i don't know if this is achievable in our software and compatible with ivao/vatsim traffic.

Hello everybody,
i´ve got a small problem, that in the newest version no TERRONND is displayed. I reinstalles already the FMGS and did a second run of dataextractor and folders 40 and 50 are build. On ND icon TERR is visible, but not the small bracket with two numbers and the "swoosh" with data doesnt appear. Anyone has an idea, what could be the issue?
PFD and ND are both on remote PCs, but in the past it worked perfectly.

Hi,
TCAS is limited at 40NM on the old TCAS hardware. And they also prevented the display on ND if EFIS range is at or above 80NM. They may have changed that in newer versions...
Regarding the terrain: try again, it should work. If your computer is not fast, it may take soem time to get a display. Also the TERR ON ND must be ON and on the OVHD the TER button must be ON as well.

Hi Jl,
i got a small and only sometimes problem with my Joystick (Thrustmaster).
Sometimes the Sidestick Joystick doesn´t work or suddenly stop working. If i change to your config Program for the axes of Elevator etc., the joystick is recognized without any problems.
This problem is very rare, but still a bit annoying when you're fly online and on approach you determine that after disabling the AP, the joystick does not work. :)
By the way flying online:
I got the RMP from Cockpitsonic with the EHID driver... sometimes is the frequency for the control like 150.055 (it´s the 8,33kHz frequency?) but i can´t change to this frequency because the rmp does not provide these. Can you add this maybe?

I also have issues with the terrain showing when running the ND over the network. The data is present on the network computer so I am not too sure why it doesn't work (trialed on my macbook air running Windows 7 so it may be too slow).
No problems with terrain running on a local computer with P3D.
