View Full Version : FS9 full screen issue Help!

When I go to 'full screen' mode in fs9...i still get the blue banner at the top left of the monitor that says microsoft 2004 - century of flight . And on the right top corner,
the minimize (-) | maximize (square) | and 'close (X) icons in clear view.

I have tried just about everything...if I click on the square box the window just makes the screen small...clicking on it again brings it into full view.

And...when i go ALT + enter ONLY the top menu bar pops down, it does not seem to 'flash' and go into a different mode like my other clients.

I have tried also to uninstall and re-install FS9...but the same problem arises.

I have even switched out monitors...still no solution

any help would be appreciated

I suggest you to forget full screen mode because it produces only problems.
Try the pseudo fullscreen mode......you will see like full screen but still remaining in windowed mode.
Take a look at avsim and search pseudofullscreen. It's a autohotkey script. You need autohotkey installed (opensource program). I think it will make you happy :-)

Thanks serpi I actually solved the problem by reinstalling windows. Now it works perfectly. I actually need full screen mode for my outside visuals.

I'm glad you solved, but you should consider to use that script.
It can really change the sim life :-)
Think, for example, that you can use your browser on the II monitor while flying A.P. in "pseudo" full screen in the other one. You can see an airport map in an other program, still viewing without frames or window borders in the main monitor, and so on.....it worths a try.
