This problem started several weeks ago and has gotten progressively worse. Today I started a flight from KORD to KMSP using a repaint of the default 737-800, FSDreamTeam KORD, MegaScenery 2.0 Illinois scenery and FSPassengers. Just before I got to RWY 32L the FSUIPC Out Of Memory warning dings started. I took off and flew toward BAE dinging all the way. A few minutes after crossing the Wisconsin border into FSX default scenery I finally got the OOM message box and FSX crashed to desktop. The flight before when I flew into KORD MegaScenery was blurry, airport buildings, taxiways and runways were missing. When I last installed FSX a couple of months ago it was working fine with descent frame rates but lately each progressive flight has ended sooner. I'm also using FSPS v4 before I start FSX. About a week ago I tried this supposed memory fix from FSDeveloper.com: Go to a cmd prompt. Type: bcdedit /set increaseuserva 3072, Press enter. It didn't help. I'm not sure if I should reinstall FSX and start over or if it could possibly be a hardware issue, maybe a failing memory module. I sure would like to know what the problem is before I spend many hours reinstalling FSX and all my addons.

I found a clue to my memory problem. I turned on my cpu monitor while I was running FSX and the temp has jumped up to 72c. I don't know if a fan has failed or whats causing the problem but I've read that a hot cpu can cause memory issues.

Well, this time I think I've really found the problem. A tech suggested I run Memtest86. Took me a while to figure it out but I ran it for about 8 hours and it had over 250 errors. I called Corsair and they're sending me new memory.

Still haven't solved my OOM problem. It was suggested that I remove all my FSX addons and then reinstall them one by one. I was wondering, is it necessary to completely remove addons from the scenery library or can I just uncheck them?

Hi Jerry, did you find a solution to this problem? how many memory sticks do you have in each machine? If your mobo is dual channel then you need to sticks the same size/spec, triple channel = 3 sticks etc, give it a try
