Hi Folks.

I am in the process of building a 737ng. Basic structures are in place, and I am studying the functions of various switches etc. The drawings that I have to work with are good, but due to poor definition, I cannot read the engraved text that accompanies the switches, buttons etc etc.
I have searched the net, but can't find plans with good resolution! I could apply my own text, but would prefer it to be accurate.
Anyone know where I can get this info from?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Tony

you need to be more specific. I guess you mean this: FLIGHTDECK-737NG (http://users.skynet.be/jcordon/cockpit/plans.htm)
Go down to the panel icons and enlarge. There you can clearly read the engravings.

Hi Chris.

Thanks for the info! A very interesting site.
I am building the aircraft mentioned, but with the drawings that I have, I cannot read the legend's describing the function of the various switches etc.
As an example, One of the NG flight instruments is LOWER DU selection and the legend engraved around the selector switch reads -

LOWER DU
Eng PRI.
Norm.
ND.

Although I am mostly familiar with the actual functions of the switches etc, I would like to engrave the correct descriptions next to them.

To achive this, I will need readable plans of the instrument panels.

Thanks for your help. Any comments would be appreciated.

I would imagine if you checked out the file gallery here, you might find a section called Cockpit Bitmaps and Drawings (http://www.mycockpit.org/forums/downloads.php?do=cat&id=42) and in there you might find some autocad files that have all the legends, as well as being to scale.
