okay guys i need to add a second card to my main fsx pc so i can add a second vga port so i can get my fds cdu screen to work, currently the main graphics card a gtx 670 has the main dvi port for the projector and the second spare dvi port (24 pin) doing nothing and it wont convert from a lead to vga i've tried it! so my question is, i need a cheap vga second card but my main gtx670 uses both 6 pin power leads! so what card do you guys recommend which will power its self just off the pci slot? and yes the motherboard does accept a second card as i stipulated this when i had it built!:-P your comments appreciated but in simple terms as i'm a computer dunse:!: thanks.

I'm using a 670 with one of the dvi outputs driving a VGA monitor thru a DVI to vga adapter.

the main dvi port on the graphics card is in use for the projector! the second dvi port is not vga complient so could i use the hdmi port or the display port slots on the card as i know you can get cables for these connections to convert to vga? any ideas?

Depends on the board. The 670 chip can drive both digital and analog outputs but the board may not have full implimentation. As for HDMI to vga it's worth $5 to try
